TESLA ROADSTER
The Tesla Roadster is an intense little all-electric car that does 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds. GQ Magazine reports, “If you’re not familiar with the Lotus Elise-based Roadster, described by a slack-jawed Jeremy Clarkson [of the BBC car review show TOP GEAR] as “biblically quick”, it can do 240 miles on one charge, is six times more efficient than your common-or-garden sports car and is greener even than the Toyota Prius (although not as green as Prius owners will be when they clap eyes on one).”
Top speed is reportedly 125 MPH, a respectable number that will certainly allow the electric car to take on any other respectable hybrid, with it’s small size often giving a cornering advantage to play racing drivers.
European deliveries of the Tesla eco-friendly smart model will start in the summer of 2009. The company reports that right-hand drive models will be produced in 2010 and prices start at roughly 94,000 Euros for the hot green ticket and easy to park auto products.
